Irish Recipe for Apple & Barley Pudding


There are different ways for us to enjoy our favorite pudding, and one way is to make use of our creative side and experiment. I am proud to say that this is one of those moments that I did so. This is my Irish Recipe for Apple & Barley Pudding. Try it now and see how taking risks with different ingredients can satisfy your cravings for a sweet and yummy dessert. 

Puddings are most commonly desserts. In the U.S. it is a sweet milk-based dessert. In other countries, it refers to a rich dairy or starch-based desserts.

The saying “An apple a day keeps the doctor away,” is a simple way of showing to us the health benefits apples has to offer. It has been found that reducing the risk of some types of cancer, such as colon cancer.

It has been found to be a good source of antioxidants, controlling cholesterol, help lose weight,  and help prevent heart diseases.


To help you get started on cooking, here is my Irish Recipe for Apple & Barley Pudding


You will need:


about a tablespoon of rich cream (double)
1 1/2 lb of sliced apples
4 cups of water
4 tablespoon of barley
55 grams  of sugar


Instructions

Place the barley (Peeled, cored and sliced) in water and boil.

Now, add the apples and continue boiling until the two ingredients are soft.

Remove the peabarley and apples and put through the blender, then place it back to the pot.

Put in sugar and lemon juice (boil the mixture once again)

After boiling, set aside and allow to it to cool

Serve with stirred double cream in.
